Cinnamon Salt Dough ornaments

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 3/4 cup ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  • Mix ingredients together in a large mixing bowl using either a paddle attatchment, electric beaters or a wooden spoon.
  • Dough should come together without being too crumbly. If the mixture is too dry, add 1 Tablespoon water to the dough at a time until it comes together.
  • Roll out dough to a half inch thickness using a regular rolling pin. Run a patterned rolling pin across the top of the dough to form an embossed pattern. Cut out desired shapes and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Take a toothpick and create a hole at the top for ribbon or twine.
  • Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes on one side. After 30 minutes, flip over and cook for another 30 minutes. Place on a cooling rack to cool. Thread twine or ribbon through the holes.
