Christmas

Decorating for Christmas! Our music room

I love the Christmas season! I think every year that I am going to scale back and keep it simple. Then I start decorating and something takes hold of me and I just keep adding more! I think the reason that I love decorating for Christmas so much is because the things I put out are the things I have collected throughout the years. Things that have memories associated with them. Things that make me think of family. Here is a tour of our music room this year. This room is very traditional with the nativity, the old world Santas, and my Christmas villages. I think that the piano in the room dictates the traditional feel. Enjoy!

I usually put my nativity on the small table between the chairs, but this year I got an antique dresser to hold our music and I put the nativity on top of it instead.

I decided to put my Santa on the table with a wreath for greenery and my old tin and book. It feel really old world to me, and I love how the two wreaths on the window frame the whole thing.

I always put one of my villages next to the piano. It lights the room and makes it feel extra festive.

I got this antique dresser a month ago to hold all our music, and I love it! I displayed our nativity on the top of it.

I love the traditional feel of this room and all the lights at night!

I'm Erin, a busy mom of three, chauffeur, cook, housekeeper, and wanna be decorator. I love old movies, good books, and a daily trip to Lowes. We have recently bought a new home...one we are fixing up and changing everything. This blog is to record our renovating journey. This is not the first house we have done. Actually, it is our third. My husband and I love a project. Any project. We both love working on our home, have the same taste, (which is great), and love working and re purposing things on our budget. We can show you how to put together a high end and creative look without breaking the bank. Taking something old and recreating it into something new and exciting for any room is my passion. Hope you enjoy this decorating journey with us!
