My favorite…furniture shopping
I am starting to work on a new project around my house. My oldest daughter wants a new, fresh, room re do. She thinks she wants gray walls with navy blue and yellow accents. So I have spent some time looking for some design inspirations to kick start the project. The look I am hoping to achieve is fresh, timeless, and fun. She loves to read and is hoping for a spot to read in her room. Not the floor. So I decided to begin the inspiration process by looking for chairs.
Since this is a teenager’s room, I am not going to invest a ton of money into the chair. One of my go to place to look always is Target.
How cute is this chair. It brings in the navy, but also has a fun younger pattern.
I love the modern look this chair has. I am going to add a lot of wood accents in the room, and I think this would go great.
Another great place to look is Overstock.
This just looks comfy to me. Perfect to curl up and read a good book.
I love the curves on this chair. The neutral pattern is great to add a colorful throw, and the curves add interest to the room.
I also look at Wayfair for some ideas.
Love this navy chair. It looks so modern and classic and I think a soft white throw would be the perfect accent to this.
Fabric is great for inspiration when beginning a project. Some great things to take inspiration from are bedspreads, couches, chairs, window treatments, or rugs. Start with one piece and build off of that. When starting a space, measure the space, think about the style you want to achieve in the room, and always think what is the function of the room. Doing those things really helps with creating a successful room design.
